We have 13! :tardis: :dance: :dance:

I'm amazed. I really thought they'd cave in to the whiny fan-base who insisted that the Doctor shouldn't be a woman. Of course we now have months of those fans griping and threatening never to watch show again.

Well, this will certainly be interesting.

^^ Only a Ginger can call another Ginger ginger.

Well, this happened earlier than I thought. The other guy was a red herring after all. I've never heard of either one of them. Have they announced yet when the new season will air?

I don't think there really is a significant fan-base who cares about the Doctor being a woman. There's a handful who get too much attention and then there's a bunch of sock puppets of people who really wish there was a large fan-base who cares about the Doctor being a woman. :lol:

*regeneration*

"Wha....ohmygoodness"
<looks around confused>
"Slender hands....my legs feel funny."
<feels her head>
"Long hair?!?!?!?"
<touches throat>
"GAH!"
<looks down and s-l-o-w-l-y realizes something is amiss when peeking inside her shirt>
"Oh dear....ohdearohdearohdear. I'm going to need a new wardrobe."

^It's good that Bill will be back. It would have been a shame if either of them didn't know the fate of the other.

Ah, that looks really nice. Yeah, I'm glad Bill will be in it. I was sad that she would miss the Christmas Special.

I am very curious how we get to this point, because I've read news that Capaldi's Doctor's first appearance is also his final appearance.

I've read that, too. Nice bit of circularity. I can't wait to see how it happens. I wonder if they will bring back Gallifrey. Or the Curator.

I've heard that Big FInish does some really good stuff. They do other series besides Doctor Who and Torchwood, too, like Dark Shadows and The Avengers.

I was about to say that he would have been a little young-- then I remembered that he's a couple of years older than me, so he would have been in his mid thirties, which is about right for a commander. Strange that they would audition a couple of English actors. Were they trying to recreate Picard? They kind of made the same mistake with Genevieve Bujold on Voyager.

^They also tried recreating the McCoy/Spock thing with Data and Dr. Pulaski. That didn't work either.

True, although I liked Dr Pulaski. I always thought she'd be a good character to show up on DS9.

I always thought that DS9 should have been the Casablanca of Star Trek, with all the misfit characters dropping by, like Pulaski, Lore, Riker's transporter twin, like that.

Tom Riker did drop by. He stole the USS Defiant because he had joined the Maquis. There is a great novel where the Borg attempt to overtake the station. Chief O'Brian figures out that the only way past their adaptive shielding is to use an old-style, Klingon solid-projectile rifle.
