Clinton Donors Have Picked Their 2020 Democratic Presidential Nominee

Oh boy. The Right Wing bigots are going to explode if Kamala Harris is the nominee.

I thought she might catch one. She's an up-and-comer from my state and I've voted for her since she first started running for office.

I have a feeling that the Democrats will go with someone they consider safer, although there are few people on Earth who could lose to Donald Trump-- Hillary Clinton being one of them.

Trump?

Now we've got a lawsuit about him conspiring with Fox News to create fake news and a report that he was the one who told his kid to lie about his meeting with the Russians. It just never ends.

And the new dictator of Venezuela is taunting him about losing the popular vote.

If this had been a Democratic President with a Republican Congress, this Administration would already be over.

If this had been pretty much anybody with any other job anywhere in the world, it would have been long over-- how is he getting away with it?

A Republican senator has written what appears to be an interesting book on the Trump debacle. It's currently #3 overall on Amazon, and #1 in political categories. The description on CNN sounds like it's right on the money, and the sales figures are encouraging-- but will it make a difference? Maybe this guy can successfully run against Trump for the Republican nomination, if Trump makes it that far.

Apparently, New Hampshire is a "drug-infested den." CNN came up with Trumpian slogans for the other 49 states, too.

Their slogan for Massachusetts was actually kind of lame. How about: "I would have won in Massachusetts if not for those millions of illegal Irishmen."

Ah, at first I thought I was going to disagree with him, but he came to the right conclusion. As the Left Wing used to say in its more liberal days, the purpose of free-speech protection is to protect unpopular speech-- popular speech doesn't need protection. This is why Jefferson said that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance. It's also why John Adams defended the British soldiers of the Boston Massacre. Rights and protections must apply to all equally. That's why I admire the ACLU-- they protect everybody's rights, whether they like them or not.

Besides, suppressing ideology just gives it power. The only way to beat the bad guys is to be better than they are.

The best facts are manufactured. Natural facts are better for you, but they don't taste as good.

That's a great article on the Paradox of Tolerance. I love the line about the tolerant having the right to not tolerate the intolerant.

I recently read an article stating if President Trump pardoned Joe Arpaio then the President would be guilty of an impeachable offence. The reason being Arpaio was found guilty of Contempt for failure to abide by a Judicial Order to stop his illegal profiling and arrests; therefore, the President has sanctioned Arpaio's actions of ignoring the Rule of Law.

One would hope someone in House would use this as a basis to draft Articles of Impeachment, but we shall see.

Gutless bastards.

I don't know. Trump needs to be impeached and there's numerous grounds for it, but this seems like a little bit of a stretch. Certainly the House Republicans won't think so.
