Ya, know, I don't care how old we all get - Johnny Crawford is still a nice looking man. And Emma, why is he holding onto your hat?

Yes, he is! And so considerate! He made me take my sunglasses off, then he held back my hat brim so my face wouldn't be all dark in shadow. Holy crap! I got crepe skin! :guffaw: Worth it, for the weight loss. :D

Here's one of Lupy, one of Johnny, and one of a great vista spot I would have loved to climb to, if I could. :)

Man, that looks so great. A Ghost Town! Johnny Crawford! emma and Lupy! I wish I was there. :(

The Rifelman was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. It got me in trouble frequently. You know that look that Lucas gives the camera at the beginning just after he fires his rifle? I used to give that look to my Mother when I was mad-- which got me sent to my room with no books or TV. But I kept on doing it.

Yup. I remember that. I should - Dad and I watched the westerns on MeTV every time I went to visit him in the hospital or nursing home. Until, he didn't bother watching any more. :(

I know what you mean. I've been visiting my Mother for breakfast and old TV shows every Saturday morning since I moved out, 33 years ago. Someday Saturday mornings are going to seem very strange.

I moved on to wine and wildlife with my butterfly.... :D

Despite the shooting in the title sequence, it's actually a heartwarming series about a single dad raising his son in the Old West.

The Johnny Weissmuller ones? My Mother loves those. I got her the DVD set.

Yeah, there's a few of them. Recently one of our retro channels was showing the Ron Ely series from the 60s.

I know other guys have played Tarzan, but they're all Johnny Weissmuller, whether they are or not, to me. I think it has to do with how old I was when I watched.

Buster Crabbe actually played Tarzan once. But those Weissmuller ones are my favorites, especially the first couple.

Check it out:

Image
This is the best picture I've ever taken of the Moon by far. Rather than use a nighttime setting, I used emma's method of using the sports setting and taking multiple rapid-fire shots. I also used my telephoto lens. Then I did some processing in Photoshop, where I split the Moon and the sky into separate layers and processed each separately.

Image
And I finally scanned the picture they took of us on the lunch cruise a few weeks ago. Every time I look at it, I hear, "A three-hour tour, a three-hour tour...."

Go to this link to watch the video (I can't embed it for some reason):

www.youtube.com Video from : www.youtube.com

Thomas Alban of MazAmar Art Pottery playing the clay didgeridoo he made.

How do I embed a YouTube video? The video-embedding [BBVideo] thing suggested in the editing window didn't work.

I fixed it. The reason it doesn't work is that YouTube started using "https" instead of just "http." If you go in and delete the "s" then it works. Maybe the next upgrade to the phpBB software will be able to handle the "https."

I love the sound of the didgeridoo. Very Sci Fi. :D

Thanks, RJ. Three people worked on that post. My friend was working remotely, and he corrected the wild jargon I used trying to make sense of what was happening. He created the link, used "embed" and other stuff. The second sentence, saying who it is and what he's doing, is all mine. :D
