Ugh. My Mother does that to me all the time. She tells me random anecdotes about weird relatives and then says, "I give you all these great ideas and you don't do anything with them."

I decided to make some place holder book covers for no good reason beyond it's fun.

Eh, there are tons of real graphic artists out there already. I doubt I could get even an atom of that market.

I decided to enter an old horror story I had into Lulu's halloween contest because it wasn't doing anything else on my hard drive.

Good luck, blab.

That looks like a good contest. I'm sure I have something that fits the criteria. I'll take a look through my archives.....

I was thinking about a couple of old stories for the story contest, but they're both way over the limit. Maybe I can think of something new.....

Got 2500 in on one of my short stories last night. At 15k words I don't know that it can be considered short any more...

Three more to write; a few to edit. Then I need to design the cover.

Yeah, I think 15,000 puts you into the novella category.

That's cause I paid for it. Marketing is such a pain.

I hope it works. I got a little bump when I was on there.

I so want to bug you forever about your recollections right now, but that would be rude, so I won't. :D

It's extremely difficult to research the subject - there are so many conflicting stories about who said what, one of the rancher's children gave an affidavit that didn't match any of the other stories, etc. Even the simplest details are foggy - did Brazel discover the debris field in June or July? Did he gather it all up, or was there enough left for the military to worry about? Every time I try to find information, I just get more confused! :D

(Of course, this plays right into my hands as an author of a novel series where telepathy is known to exist, and can be used to alter memories...)
